Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have an Engineering degree or be in the final year of their Engineering degree course. Those studying in the final year must be able to provide proof of passing the Engineering Degree Examination by 1st July 2025. The cumulative percentage of marks up to the final semester/year should not be less than the approved cut-off percentage.

Age Limit

Candidates must be between 20 and 27 years of age as of 1st July 2025. This means candidates should have been born between 2nd July 1998 and 1st July 2005, inclusive dates. The date of birth recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary School Examination Certificate or an equivalent certificate will be considered final.

Selection Process

1. Shortlisting of Applications: The Indian Army reserves the right to shortlist applications based on the cumulative percentage of marks obtained up to the final semester/year. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the SSB interview.
2. SSB Interview: The SSB interview is a two-stage selection process. Candidates who clear Stage 1 will proceed to Stage 2. Those who fail in Stage 1 will be returned on the same day.
3. Medical Examination: Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit will be issued joining letters for training.
